Today is Pancake Tuesday... or Shrove Tuesday, or Fat Tuesday... depending on where you live and how you celebrate. I have never been to Mardi Gras, nor have I ever participated in a Pancake Race, but in recognition of this day we will have pancakes for dinner.
Which will make this breakfast-for-dinner-loving-girl very happy indeed. My go-to pancake recipe is a standard buttermilk one, and it makes wonderfully thick and fluffy pancakes, but I'm tempted to try something different tonight.
Like these German Apple Pancakes at Jamie Cooks it Up! Amazing, no?
There is no shortage of alternative pancake inspiration out there and in the spirit of true over-indulgence, I believe a Pancake Buffet may be the answer. Seriously, check these out:

Of course, no Pancake Buffet is complete without an assortment of syrups:
And if one wants to ensure their Pancake Buffet is completely over the top, I give you dessert pancakes:

Jenn, I love pancakes for dinner. In fact I eat them for dinner more often then for breakfast. I will be checking out several of these yummy recipes!
ReplyDeleteThose pancakes look fabulous, my mouth is watering even though we had pancakes this evening too! My husband makes them perfectly, mine always come out a little stodgy, but with bananas and chocolate sauce as a topping I don't mind too much!
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough of pancakes. They are absolutely yummy. I almost want to cheat my diet :)
ReplyDeleteHoping from Aloha Friday to visit u.

I must admit all of those looked sinfully delicious!! I couldn't decide which ones were more appealing because they all looked good. I think some of these IHOP needs to add to their menu (I think that's they only way my family gets pancakes...mine seem to turn out like Sponge cakes--yes, I dared to blog about that fact.)
